the face behind the brand re:sonate
HELLO, I’M BRIANNA — THE CREATIVE BEHIND RE:SONATE
web designer // brand builder// therapist - in - training //
I work with therapists and wellness practitioners who are good at what they do but whose online presence hasn't caught up yet.
why I work with therapists specifically
Before re:sonate, I spent years working in social media strategy - supporting over 100 clients with their online presence. I was good at it. But I kept running into the same problem: content could only do so much if the brand wasn't clear or the website didn't work. I wanted to be able to help with the whole thing, not just one part of it.
I have a degree in psychology from UC Berkeley, and I'm currently in my third year of an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy – Humanistic Approach course in London.
That training changes how I approach this work — not because I bring therapy into design sessions, but because I understand the professional context you're working in. The ethics, the boundaries, the discomfort around self-promotion. I don't need that explained to me.
Most web designers who work with therapists don't have a background in psychology or therapy. Most marketers who understand wellness don't know how to design.
I sit at that overlap – and for therapists in private practice, that actually matters.
Your clients are making a trust decision when they land on your website. The way it's written, the way it looks, and the way it feels all play a part in that.
I understand both sides of that equation.
a little bit more about me…
I was born in Sri Lanka and have lived in California, Bali, and now London. Each place has left something behind
Outside of work I'm usually in a second-hand shop, on a long walk through a part of London I haven't been to yet, or making plans for a countryside escape that may or may not happen. I read a lot, think probably too much, and take good coffee seriously.
